New Beginnings Animal Sanctuary Society

New Beginnings Animal Sanctuary Society, as a non-profit animal welfare organization, is unwavering in its commitment to providing a nurturing haven for animals left behind. Our foundation serves as a sanctuary for those animals whom other rescues may not be able to place, whether due to age, medical care needs, or other considerations. Our enduring belief is that every animal deserves a permanent, love-filled home.

At New Beginnings Animal Sanctuary Society, the safety and well-being of our animals take precedence above all else. We are dedicated to providing the utmost care for each and every animal that finds refuge in our sanctuary. Our team of devoted professionals works tirelessly to ensure that our animals are not just healthy but also filled with happiness and thriving in their environment.

EVENTS & DRIVES

Annual Tax Season Food Bank Drive

This drive runs February through April each year. We accept nonperishable food items, toiletries and other goods as well as cash donations.  ALL donations are matched $1/$1 and $1/1lb of food up to $1000!

You will also receive 10% off your tax preparation fees with ANY donation (no minimum donation amount required)

We have been doing this annual tax season foodbank drive since our inception and each year it is a huge success thanks to your support

Annual FILL-A-BACKPACK Campaign

This drive runs August - September.  We fill backpacks with all the back-to-school essentials: supplies, clothing, lunch packs, water bottle, shoes, and other items depending on ages.  We accept monetary donations and donations of new items and then match up to $5000 to fill as many backpacks as we can for local families that need help with the increasing costs of sending a child back to school.

Youth Art Competition

We have successfully run 2 youth art competitions where we pick a theme and ask kids from preschool - post secondary to submit an original art piece in that theme.  Art can be any form: music, painting, theatre, etc.  prizes include backpacks full of art supplies, GCs to a local art supply store and $500 bursaries for grade 12 and post secondary students.  We plan on running a 3rd but have not yet picked a theme or timing.

Holiday Toy & PJ Drive

We previously ran 3 holiday toy & pj drives to support a variety of other community supports such as SOWINS, OSNS, various churches and more as well as privately helping families ensure their holidays are magical.  For these we would ask for donations and then match them to fill hampers for families and individuals of all ages.

With so many drives happening around the same time, we found our efforts were better to support these organizations through direct donations and donations of items for their silent auctions.
